Vogel Design LLC, a Wichita-based digital and print design studio operated by David Vogel, was honored this month with four 2019 American Graphic Design Award certificates, recognizing outstanding new work and design excellence.
The national competition is sponsored by Graphic Design USA magazine in New York, New York.
For 56 years, GDUSA has sponsored a range of national design competitions, and its American Graphic Design Awards is the original and the flagship, open to the entire creative community: design firms, ad agencies, corporations, non-profits, institutions and more. It honors outstanding new work in 26 categories from print and packaging to Internet and interactive design.
“Being recognized by GDUSA in this way is an absolute highlight of our year,” Vogel said. “I’m proud that this studio continues to produce high-quality materials for our customers.”
Vogel is a 2012 graduate of Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kan., where he studied design, communications, English and marketing. He founded Vogel Design LLC in the spring of 2014. The studio specializes in web, mobile and print design, as well as brand development, for organizations of all kinds across the United States.
A record 12,000+ entries were submitted in the 2019 contest, and a highly selective 10 percent were chosen to be recognized, GDUSA editor and publisher Gordon Kaye said, also noting that one organization receiving multiple awards is rare. This is the sixth consecutive year Vogel Design LLC has received recognition from GDUSA, having now received 37 certificates total.
The four certificates of excellence received by Vogel Design recognize the following entries: Cover artwork for Celebrate Grandparenting by Elaine McCallister (Hillsboro, Kan.), website design for the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Christian Church (Hillsboro, Kan.), and graphic design for the Inman Museum brochure (Inman, Kan.) and Central Kansas Counseling stationery (Hesston, Kan.). These and other recent projects can be viewed at vogeldesignllc.com.
